As Virat Kohli stepped out of the arrival gate at Mumbai airport, the paparazzi rushed to capture his first public appearance since announcing his retirement from Test cricket. Having revealed the news via an Instagram post on Monday (May 12), Kohli was met with eager questions and flashing cameras, all seeking a reaction to his unexpected decision.
'Sir Apne galat kiya. aapne retirement kyu liya. Ab ham cricket hi nahi dekhenge. Aapke liye main test cricket dekhta tha (Sir, why did you take retirement. We will not watch cricket now. We used to watch Test cricket for you)," the pap was heard saying.
