Laughter Chefs Season 2, the unique blend of comedy and culinary chaos, concluded on Sunday with a grand finale that lived up to every bit of its name. Hosted by the vibrant Bharti Singh, the show concluded with Karan Kundrra and Elvish Yadav lifting the winner’s trophy. Aly Goni and Reem Shaikh followed closely as runners-up, earning sparkling diamond stars in recognition of their impressive journey.
The finale was a nail-biting affair, with Aly and Reem leading the scoreboard till the semi-finals. However, in a dramatic twist, Karan and Elvish’s performance in the final challenge stole the show and earned them the trophy.
Interestingly, Karan Kundrra, who had been a part of the first season of Laughter Chefs, joined Season 2 midway, stepping in for Abdu Rozik and teaming up with Elvish Yadav. Despite the late entry, the pair quickly built chemistry and established themselves as strong contenders in the kitchen-comedy format.
In an exclusive interview with SCREEN, Karan reflected on his journey:
“Season 1 had ended abruptly with no winners, and we were all still figuring out what the show was. It started as a filler but turned into something big.” He added, “I joined Season 2 because the show felt like therapy. I’d fly in from Dubai after a full day of shooting and still be energized to film here. That says a lot about the people involved.”
Karan also revealed that Laughter Chefs 1 marked the first time he stepped into a kitchen. “I had never cooked before,” he laughed. “But I found that I really enjoyed it. Season 2 helped me learn how to actually make food taste good!”

Addressing initial concerns about working with a large group of actors, he admitted, “Yes, there were apprehensions. Actors are insecure by nature—we worry about screen space. But both seasons were full of positive energy. Not a single contestant was negative. That’s rare, and it made shooting so much more enjoyable.”
As Season 2 comes to a close, Laughter Chefs has proven to be much more than a cooking competition—it’s a joyful mix of laughter, bonding, and unexpected discoveries. With Karan and Elvish lifting the trophy and winning hearts, the show has shown that humor and teamwork are truly the key ingredients to success.
