Just a week after Rockstar Games delayed GTA 6 until next May, Skydance has confirmed that Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will also launch next year.
In a statement to fans, the studio said that the upcoming game will launch in early 2026.
"We have an important update: Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra will now be launching in early 2026," Skydance confirmed.
According to the statement, the additional time will be used to polish the game and give fans the best experience possible.
"Taking this additional time will allow us to add more polish, and make sure we give you the best possible experience, and one that lives up to our vision.
"We have some exciting things in store and look forward to sharing more soon!"
The game is being produced by former Naughty Dog executive Amy Hennig, who worked on games like Uncharted and Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver.
Marvel 1943 sees four heroes team up to tackle the rise of the Hydra organisation in occupied Paris.
While little is known about how the game will play out, playable characters include Captain America and Black Panther.
"Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra - In the chaos of war, worlds collide," reads the official description.
"Skydance New Media and Marvel Games share an original story where an ensemble of four heroes must overcome their differences and form an uneasy alliance to confront their common enemy."
