Prince William gave a rare update about his three children on his latest TV appearance this week. On Friday, The Prince of Wales featured on The Reluctant Traveller series with Canadian actor Eugene Levy, with the royal giving him a tour of Windsor Castle.
After the tour, William took Eugene to a local pub, where the two men enjoyed a pint together. While some of their conversations had been very light-hearted, the discussion took on a more serious tone, with William talking about his wife Princess Kate's cancer battle last year.
Although the princess, 43, is now in remission, William still appeared emotional as he spoke about the difficult times last year.
He also revealed how his children Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, coped with the situation.
In a five-word comment, the future King said: "My children have managed brilliantly."
Talking to the Canadian actor, William said: "Life is sent to test us as well, and it definitely can be challenging at times, and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are.
"I'm so proud of my wife and my father for how they've handled all of last year. My children have managed brilliantly as well."
This is not the only update he gave about his family life, with William, 43, making it clear that his wife and children are his priority.
He told Eugene: "Getting the balance of work and family life right is really important.
"Because for me, the most important thing in my life is family, and everything is about the future and about if you don't start the children off now with a happy, healthy, stable home, I feel you're setting them up for a bit of a hard time and a fall."
Episode four of The Reluctant Traveller With Eugene Levy, called Living the Royal Life in the UK, is available to watch on Apple TV+.
