Drivers are facing delays of up to 60 minutes on the M60 after a crash near Stockport. National Highways North-West said on X earlier that Lane 1 (of 3) has been "closed on the #M60 clockwise between J27 and J1 near #Stockport following a collision", and that Greater Manchester Police were on the scene.
In the update at 7.32am, drivers were warned to expect "delays of 60 minutes above normal travel times", and asked to "allow extra time for your journey". However, in its latest update at 7.49 National Highways said all lanes have re-opened on the #M60 clockwise between J27 and J1 near #Stockport following the collision.But it warned drivers of residual delays "of 40 minutes above normal travel times" and continued to urge drivers to give themselves extra time for journeys.
Greater Manchester Police said the crash that led to the delays involved three vehicles. The force says no injuries were reported following the incident and no arrests have been made, as per Manchester Evening News.
Queues were said to have been easing at around 8.50am following this morning's crash.
