Police are investigating after a bag containing "possible remains" was found in West Dunbartonshire.
Officers were alerted to the discovery in the Arthurston Road area of Alexandria at about 9.45am on Sunday.
Police said the contents of the bag are being assessed and that inquiries are ongoing.
The find comes weeks after the remains of Graham Wright were discovered at Rubha Dubh, on the shores of Loch Lomond, on September 13.
Police said they are not currently treating Sunday's find as linked with the 38-year-old's disappearance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.45am on Sunday, November 2, 2025, police were made aware of a bag with possible remains found in the Arthurston Road area of Alexandria.
"The contents are being assessed and inquiries are ongoing."
Three people have appeared in court in connection with Mr Wright's death.
Linda Kelly, 47, and David McColl, 50, have both been charged with murder and with attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
Meanwhile 54-year-old John Roarty has been charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
