Rugs are a great way to add an extra touch to any space, but as winter approaches, they also become essential in keeping rooms cosy. Dunelm has some great options, and thanks to a massive discount, shoppers can snap one up for under £35.

The Doris Sherpa Faux Fur Rug is currently on sale, and shoppers can save up to 64%, reports Yorkshire Live. Its largest option, measuring 200cm x 290cm, has been slashed from its original price of £97.30 to £34.75, but there are two smaller sizes: 120cm x 170cm, which costs £12.25, and 160cm x 230cm, which costs £22.25.

The rug has an interesting wavy pattern that gives it some thickness while adding texture to the surrounding space. Shoppers have said this adds a "cosy" vibe. It also has an anti-slip backing to keep it from sliding around.

Plus, the rug is fully machine washable, making it ideal for high-traffic areas and homes with pets or children, so won't have to worry too much about spills and messes.

The Doris rug is available in lush chocolate brown and ivory (though sadly, the latter isn't discounted right now).

Dunelm shoppers are praising the rug online, with one saying: "Absolutely love the colour, quality, size and price of this rug. Totally given my room a cosy feel."

Another positive review said: "We are so pleased with this rug, it adds a wonderful cosy vibe to our lounge, and feels so soft underfoot. My husband has taken to napping on the floor!"

A third customer, who bought the ivory version, said it "looks far more expensive than it is and the quality is really good".

The rug has also received positive reviews from pet owners, with one saying it is "so soft and pleasing on the feet, even the doggies love it. Fits perfectly in the living room between my new sofas. Great value for money too!"

Another said: "Lovely soft rug, perfect for our household with two dogs as it's machine washable."

That said, shoppers should note that the rug is made from synthetic materials, which make it machine washable. This means it may not be the right option for those who prefer natural fibres.
