Buckingham Palace has issued a statement after allegations of a "heated feud" between royal staff and secret service agents during the recent state visit.
The glitzy state banquet appeared to be a huge success during the visit of US President Trump, with 160 of the great and the good from both sides of the Atlantic piled into the historic Windsor Castle for the occasion.
Trump called his trip, which was a historic occasion marking the first time a US President had been invited twice, a "great honour" and was incredibly complimentary about King Charles and his family in remarks he made during the banquet.
But unbeknownst to the royals and their guests, dressed to the nines and enjoying their gourmet meal happily, behind the scenes, it is rumoured that things were getting heated between royal staff and the US Secret Service agents in attendance to protect the President.

A royal source allegedly told the Daily Mail that both sides were initially getting on fine, but as the banquet progressed, the presence of the US agents in the royal kitchen started to make things pretty tense.
The source claimed that US officials relentlessly checked and tasted the food before it was sent up to guests. However, a Palace source has now firmly denied these claims, saying it is "categorically untrue".
"There was a disruption behind the scenes," the unnamed source alleged. "Tensions flared between the chefs preparing the meal and the US security team responsible for protecting the President and his entourage.

"The chefs, working to plate three courses flawlessly, grew frustrated as US Secret Service agents repeatedly checking and even sampling all the food."
However, a Palace source said: "This story, and these claims, are categorically untrue." The Mirror has approached the Palace for further comment.
The three-course meal included Hampshire watercress panna cotta with parmesan shortbread and quail egg salad to start, organic Norfolk chicken ballotine wrapped in courgettes for the main, and a pudding of a vanilla ice cream bombe with a raspberry sorbet middle, accompanied by poached plums.
Windsor Castle staff also whipped up a special cocktail to mark the occasion, which they dubbed the Transatlantic Whiskey Sour.
A nod to both countries, it included Johnny Walker Black whiskey and a dash of marmalade, finished off with pecan cream and a toasted marshmallow garnish.
