H&M has just dropped its new autumn collection, and it's already becoming a hit with shoppers for being one of the most luxe-looking collections on the high street with affordable prices. The range taps into some of the season's biggest trends, with preppy argyle knits, sharp tailoring, and rich chocolate brown staples that look far more expensive than their purse-friendly price tags.
Faux fur is also a prominent fabric seen in the collection, appearing on cosy outerwear and accessories that play into the popular 'Mob wife' trend from a few seasons ago.
While the majority of the collection has received praise for its chic, designer-looking vibe, there's one item in particular that has divided opinion online: a pair of faux fur heels. The Court Shoes, priced at £37.99 have caused quite a stir, leading to shoppers sharing their reactions on social media, with some jokingly comparing the statement shoes to "hobbit feet".

The quirky design combines classic court heels with fluffy faux fur detailing, and one X user has claimed H&M is "not the first brand trying to make them happen." Thus, the question is, are these heels going to be autumn's biggest shoe trend?
Love them or hate them, these furry heels have definitely got people talking, and with only a few sizes remaining, they appear to be popular already.
If you're not convinced by the divisive shoes, check out some of our favourite (and less controversial) pieces from H&M's autumn collection.

Argyle is making a stylish comeback this season, bringing a touch of retro glam to autumn dressing. The diamond-patterned knit is often associated with preppy styling but has been refreshed for 2025 with slouchy, oversized fits and cool colour contrasts that make it the perfect layering piece.
Alongside argyle, PVC-coated jackets, skirts and trousers are trending. We love the rich cocoa shade of this H&M shirt, and the endless styling options available with this co-ord.
