A little girl's third birthday celebration turned into absolute chaos when a snake tumbled out of her brand new toy box.
Mum Jennifer Baker, 30, initially assumed one of her sons was playing a prank when a bright orange serpent dropped from her daughter's fresh toy packaging following her birthday party on Sunday, August 10.
Her little one had been gifted a Peppa Pig car earlier that day, and Jennifer, from Norris Green, had unpacked the present before placing the "empty" cardboard container on top of her cooker in the kitchen, planning to chuck it in the recycling later.

She then "went about" her day. She explained: "I did what I needed to do then later I went to pick the box up and a snake fell out of it. I shouted to the kids, I have two boys, 'whose is this?' I thought it was a toy snake but I didn't recognise it as being either of theirs.", reports the Liverpool Echo.
"I was staring at this snake and then all of a sudden its tongue started moving. I started screaming 'it's real, it's a real snake'. My mum came running into the kitchen. It was trying to wrap itself around my arm as we were trying to get it back into the empty cardboard box. We finally got it into the box."
The mum revealed she was in complete "shock" after wandering into her kitchen to discover the snake perched on her cooker. She continued: "I felt the weight of it fall out of the box. I just kept thinking 'how has a snake got into my kitchen?'".
Ironically, it was that very day that Jennifer had purchased a new rabbit for her daughter and had dubbed herself Doctor Dolittle due to the "amount of animals" she appeared to have in her house. She exclaimed: "I was sorting the new rabbit out and my daughter was bringing the cat from next door into my house. I'd said 'am I Doctor Dolittle with all these pets?' Then next thing I go into my kitchen to find a snake on top of my cooker."
Jennifer later discovered that the snake belonged to a neighbour. She confirmed it has now been returned to its rightful owner.
