YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant Payal Malik has issued a public apology after facing severe backlash for a controversial video in which she was seen dressed as Goddess Kali. Payal broke down at the Kali Mata Temple in Patiala on Tuesday (July 22), saying she was ready to accept any punishment for unintentionally hurting religious sentiments.
Accompanied by her husband, YouTuber Armaan Malik, and daughter Tuba, Payal bowed before the deity, seeking forgiveness from the public and religious communities. She stated that her intention was not to offend anyone, and that she recreated the look as a gesture for her daughter, who is a devotee of Kali Maa.

Payal also clarified that the now-deleted video was created three months ago and was taken down immediately after receiving negative comments. "I read the comments, realised my mistake, and deleted it. Unfortunately, some other pages saved it and they are re-sharing it now on their respective social media platforms," she added.
In videos from her temple visit, Payal is seen in tears, asking for public forgiveness and expressing her willingness to accept any punishment from religious leaders. "Whatever punishment is given to me, I am ready to accept it," she said.
