Two young men from Unnao have begun a bicycle journey to Kedarnath, covering a distance of 700 kilometers one way, as a symbolic gesture to raise environmental awareness. Residents Anuj Gupta, a technician, and Akhilesh Kumar, a studio owner, started their journey on July 18 and have reached Bareilly so far.
The duo plans to complete the round trip approximately 1400 to 1500 kilometers in 25 days, cycling continuously with periodic rests as needed. They aim to reach Kedarnath within 10 days from Bareilly and then return by the same mode of transport, underscoring their commitment to a low-carbon alternative and the importance of environmental preservation.

The pair believes that sustained public awareness is essential for environmental improvement, despite ongoing governmental efforts.
