Thane Crime News: Three Summoned In Bhiwandi Murder Of BJP Yuva Morcha Leader And Cousin

The Bhiwandi Taluka Police have summoned three individuals for questioning in connection with the brutal murder of Prafful Tanadagi (42), vice president of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Yuva Morcha (Bhiwandi Gramin), and his cousin Tejas Tanadagi (22). The two were killed by armed assailants late Monday night in Bhiwandi Taluka.

No Breakthrough Yet in Investigation

According to investigating officers, the three individuals named in the First Information Report (FIR) were questioned, but no conclusive information has emerged. Sources from Thane Rural Police said eight teams, including personnel from the local Crime Branch, have been formed to investigate the matter. Dozens of CCTV footage clips have been reviewed.

“We interrogated three individuals about the incident, but no concrete facts have emerged so far,” said a senior officer. “We are still investigating how many people may be involved in the conspiracy. With the help of technical intelligence and local informants, we will soon nab the assailants.”

CCTV Confirms Attack by Two Armed Men

CCTV footage confirmed that two men, armed with a sword and a knife, carried out the attack. A total of five individuals, including the two victims, had left their office that night. One of the survivors sustained minor injuries. Prafful was stabbed multiple times and suffered severe injuries.

Victims Identified

The deceased have been identified as Prafful Tanadagi (42), vice president of BJP Yuva Morcha Bhiwandi Gramin, and his cousin Tejas Tanadagi (22). Both were residents of Khardi village in Bhiwandi Taluka.

Attack Near Victims’ Office

Police said the victims had just closed their office and were preparing to head home when they were attacked by two men armed with sharp weapons.

Political Leaders Condemn the Incident

Former MP and Panchayat Raj Minister Kapil Patil visited the victims’ family and condemned the attack. “It is a very tragic incident,” he said. “I have informed Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis about the matter. I will accompany the family members of the deceased to meet the CM. The police have assured us that no one involved will be spared.”
