Mumbai: A 44-year-old food delivery boy tragically died after slipping and falling into a 4 to 4.5-foot-deep swimming pool while on a delivery run at a posh high-rise building in South Mumbai. Delivery boy is resident of Dongari area. The incident occurred late night on July 1 on the 22nd floor of the Darshan Vonalzo building near Grant Road Railway Station.
The deceased has been identified as Imran Akbar Khojadda. According to the Gamdevi Police, Khojadda had gone to deliver a juice order placed by a resident named Harshvardhan Mishra via an online food delivery app.
As per preliminary reports, Khojadda was reportedly speaking on the phone near the pool area when he slipped and fell into the water. He drowned before help could arrive.
When Mishra did not receive the delivery for an extended time and noticed that the delivery agent’s phone was switched off, he went downstairs to investigate and found the delivery man floating in the pool. He immediately alerted the police.
