Indore (Madhya Pradesh): More than 70 students from the Eklavya Model Residential School, located on Khandwa Road in Indore, staged a protest against the school's principal, alleging mismanagement and mistreatment.
The students claim that the principal discriminates against them based on caste and forces them to do tasks unrelated to their education. The students, who walked 15 kilometres to reach the Collector's office, also allege that teachers are suffering under the principal's management.
Indore: India’s Largest Carbon-Neutral Engineering Event From ThursdayAccording to the students, a recent incident involving a girl having a panic attack highlighted the lack of proper medical facilities in the hostel. Despite a vehicle being provided for emergencies, the students claim it is being used by the principal for personal purposes.
The students have been troubled for a long time due to the mismanagement in the school and lack of facilities in the hostel. Recently, commissioner Deepak Singh formed a team to conduct surprise inspections of hostels, but no inspections have been conducted so far.
The collector had also instructed an investigation into a food poisoning incident at a hostel in the Mhow area, but those instructions have been ignored.
