Shahina Akhtar, daughter of Muhammad Yousuf Bhutto, a brave and intelligent student from Rukh-e-Sultan Pura, Nowgam Sambal, Sonawari, has created new history in the Sonawari region by obtaining a PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) degree in Persian literature from the University of Kashmir. She is the first woman from her region to receive this academic honor.
Dr. Shahina Akhtar had chosen the topic of her research “Children’s Literature in Iran: A Critical Study of the Fables of Mohammad Reza Sarshar”, on which she successfully completed her thesis after many years of hard work, research and study. This achievement of hers is a source of pride not only for her family but also for the entire Sonawari, especially Nowgam Sambal.
She is being congratulated profusely by academic circles, teachers, students and on social media. Many believe that Dr. Shahina Akhtar has not only achieved a significant milestone in the field of education but has also set an example for Kashmiri women that every dream can be made a reality with hard work, dedication and determination.
