Children Crying While Hugging Teacher
On Monday morning, the children arrived at their school as usual, unaware that it had been officially shut down due to the merger. When they saw the school gate locked, many burst into tears. One child emotionally hugged the teacher and said, “Madam ji, we’ll study here only… we won’t go anywhere.”
A differently-abled girl, who was part of the group, tearfully said, “I won’t be able to go to school now,” highlighting the difficulty she would face in accessing the new school location due to poor infrastructure and distance.
Parents and Teachers Also Upset
As per reports from Live Hindustan, teachers Amita Rai and Reena Sharma, who have now been assigned to the new Kasturiton school, said that the basic facilities there are lacking. The toilets are in poor condition and there are no special arrangements for disabled students. The sudden shift without adequate preparation has created confusion and discomfort among both staff and students.
Parents are also expressing their frustration, stating that the new location lacks even minimum facilities and the distance makes it difficult, especially for small and special-needs children. They feel the move was done without proper planning and community input.

The villagers have strongly demanded that the Rudrapur Bhurhuti School should continue to operate until the Kasturiton School is equipped with the necessary infrastructure. They said that forcing children to attend a poorly equipped school will only harm their education and well-being.
