During his visit to Adampur Airbase in Punjab, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the Indian Armed Forces for their crucial role in the success of Operation Sindoor, a mission that targeted terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack. PM Narendra Modi praised the Indian Air Force for its precision in combining technology and tactics, emphasizing that the military is equipped with “state-of-the-art technology” to defend the country.
Saluting the Courageous Forces
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the soldiers with deep admiration, recognizing their valour and determination. He stated that whenever India’s strength is discussed, their names will be remembered. “You are the inspiration for the new generation,” PM Narendra Modi said. He further added, “Every Indian stood with you, prayed for you, and is indebted to you.” The PM emphasized that Operation Sindoor was more than just a mission—it symbolized India’s policy, power, and intent.
PM Narendra Modi highlighted the effectiveness of the operation, noting that nine terror hubs were destroyed, and over 100 terrorists were eliminated. “Now, they know the only result of looking at India means destruction,” PM Narendra Modi said, reiterating that India would not back down. The PM commended the Indian Air Force for executing pinpointed strikes that left the enemy stunned. Despite Pakistan’s attempts to use civilian planes as shields, the Indian Air Force successfully carried out the operation without harming civilian aircraft, demonstrating their skill and discipline.
Terror Attacks Foiled and Strengthened National Defense
The PM also addressed the attempted missile strike by Pakistan on Adampur Airbase on May 9. He revealed that India’s air defense system had successfully intercepted the Pakistani missile in mid-air. This escalation prompted India to retaliate by launching missile attacks on several Pakistani airbases, including those in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi. The attack caused significant damage to Pakistan’s air infrastructure. Pakistan had previously claimed to have caused damage to Adampur Airbase, but the Prime Minister’s visit to the base debunked these claims, reinforcing India’s defense capabilities.
PM Narendra Modi concluded his visit by underscoring how the Indian Air Force not only attacked enemy targets but also defended India’s sovereignty and security, proving their strength and readiness in the face of adversity.
