New Delhi [India], May 13 (ANI): Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address on 'Operation Sindoor' at Adampur Air Base, BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi echoed the government's firm stance on national security and counter-terrorism, asserting that terrorist will not be allowed to "use Islam" as their shield against terrorism.
Speaking with ANI, Naqvi, a former Union Minister for Minority Affairs commended PM Modi for reaffirming India's zero-tolerance approach towards terrorism.
"PM Narendra Modi gave a loud and clear message about the safety of the nation and elimination of enemies (terrorists)...If they think they will use Islam to safeguard terrorism, then they are highly mistaken...The whole world is standing against terrorism," he said.
"Under the leadership of PM Modi, we have had a zero tolerance policy towards terrorism from the start, and any terror activity will be considered as an act of war and a befitting reply will be given," Naqvi said.
The BJP leader stressed that India's position on terrorism has remained consistent under PM Modi's leadership, adding that "trade and terror cannot go together and water and blood can't flow together."
Naqvi further remarked that Operation Sindoor has brought renewed clarity to India's counter-terrorism doctrine. "These are some questions that need to be clarified, and PM Modi has made that clarity, not only for Pakistan but also for the world," he said.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated India's firm stance on terrorism, emphasising that the country will not tolerate any form of terrorism and will take decisive action against terrorists.
"Hum ghar mein ghus kar maarenge aur bachne ka ek mauka tak nahi denge" (We will defeat you inside your house, will not give you a chance to escape)," he said.
PM Modi travelled to Adampur Air Base in Jalandhar today and interacted with Air Warriors, days after the cessation of hostilities between India and Pakistan.
Praising the Indian Armed Forces on the astounding success of the Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Modi asserted that Indian defence forces have defeated the Pakistani army, on which these terrorists were relying for their safety. (ANI)
