For the next academic session, four Indian Institutes of Management in the country have announced a joint admission process for admission to the MBA. Admission will be given only through the CAT 2026 score. No change has been made in this. The four IIMs that have announced the Joint Admission Process (JAP) include IIM Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, and Tiruchirappalli. The press release issued states that IIM Raipur will be the coordinator of JAP 2026, and all four participating IIMs will conduct the admission process.
The IIM release states that JAP 2026 is a joint initiative reflecting a commitment to excellence, collaborative resource management, and providing a transparent, candidate-centric admission experience in line with IIM standards. It also aims to streamline the admission process for candidates, allowing them to apply to four IIMs from one place. After the CAT results are declared, candidates will be eligible to get admission in any of these four IIMs through the Joint Admission Process.
What will be the benefit?
Professor Sanjeev Parashar, Director-in-Charge, IIM Raipur, said that we are proud to announce the Joint Admission Process (JAP) 2026, which promotes collaboration among the four leading IIMs. This initiative exemplifies our commitment to resource optimization, student-centric admissions, and strengthening the IIM brand for future leading institutions. JAP 2026 reflects our dedication to maintaining high standards and opening new opportunities for aspiring MBA candidates.
Last year, Sambalpur took admission like this.
Last year, IIM Sambalpur decided to conduct the admission process independently for its MBA program. The same admission process will also apply to the second launched course, i.e., MBA in Business Analytics, which offers the option of a dual degree from an international institute. This process was implemented in the current academic year.
